Shewana's 10 Commandments For Owning
A German Shepherd Dog
Puppies become dogs. German Shepherd Puppies become German Shepherd Dogs. German Shepherd Dogs need a Human Master. If you sign on as the Master of a German Shepherd Dog you must be aware of your commitment.

A German Shepherd Dog is unique in its Loyalty, Intelligence, and the need for Human Companionship. For the dog, taking care of his human is a lifelong, full time job.

To deserve being the Master of a German Shepherd Dog requires Love, Patience, Understanding, and Time. This is not a temporary, part time job.

Learn from the dog what it means to be an honorable & trusted friend.

No dog deserves to be dismissed, diminished or disrespected.

No dog deserves to be neglected, abused, ignored or mistreated in anyway.

All dogs deserve to live in a safe and secure environment.

No dog should be "gotten rid of" .... EVER!!!

Whatever the course life takes the Master must make every effort to do what is right and think first of the good of his dog.

When life takes its toll, when illness or infirmity strikes, and dignity is lost, a true and loving Master will endure the difficult and painful task of responsible ownership by guiding a great friend over the Rainbow Bridge.
