It is with a melancholy heart that I write this letter.

family, and many dedicated staff assistants, I have spent
the past 40 years breeding only the Best and the Brightest

follow this path. With the growth of our family over the past
3 years including 2 toddler grandsons, and the more recent
arrival of 2 sets of twins in 2008, there seem to be many other
obligations that a "grandmother" must take into considera -
tion. In addition, the clock continues to tick and my own
"senior citizen status" has become official. The time has come
to consider the future for myself, my husband and my family.
Over the years, through hard work, dedication and sacrifice,

I have succeeded in achieving beautiful, intelligent, strong

each has given us joy in their own "Special" way. Together,
over the years, we have all learned so much. After all, we
have had the best "teachers" - our best friends, the
German Shepherd Dogs we have been blessed to know.
Still, no matter how successful these achievements of the
past have been, I now realize that I am entering the Golden
years of my own life. I know that the ways of my younger
self are coming to an end and that the efforts of Shewana
Shepherds must be altered to accommodate my own
slowing down.
As a result, I now offer this great opportunity to love and be
loved to those who would open thier homes and hearts to
these Super Stars. Until the perfect home and loving master
comes along, all our dogs will remain with us on our farm
where they have always been.
